Apply now for 2009 Biodesign H.S. summer internship program
The Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University is providing summer laboratory internships for 10 qualified high school students. These are unpaid internships, but scholarships are available for economically disadvantaged students that provide compensation for time, travel and expenses. This program provides a unique opportunity for 10 students to work closely with researchers in a world-class research institute, gaining hands-on experience with actual, current research projects. Students must commit to a minimum 20 volunteer hours per week during the 6 week program plus a full day of final project presentations, although actual hours may vary. Every student will receive a minimum of 90 volunteer hours in the Institute. Volunteer hours must be completed on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., June 8 - July 20, 2009.
