Arizona centers team on heart, vascular Studies
Tags: genomics[Source: GenomeWeb News] - Arizona Heart Institute and Arizona Research Center will partner on cardiovascular research that will include genomics, epigenetics, and large, multi-center drug and medical device trials, AHI said today.
The collaboration, focused on heart and vascular diseases, will give AZRC access to patients that may qualify for pharmaceutical and device research studies, and will enable AHI to pursue epigenetic and genomic studies in efforts to develop early-stage diagnostics that could allow for interventions before symptoms present.
AZRC represents a network of doctors and hospitals that support its research, and AHI includes the Arizona Heart Hospital and the Arizona Heart Institute Translational Research Center.
