Flagstaff firm lands grant, expands staff and facilities
Summary:
Full Story:
Machine Solutions Incorporated, a Flagstaff-based tech firm that specializes in segmented compression technology, recently received a $160,608 grant from the governor to train 70 new employees, and will be moving into a larger facility in the Pulliam airpark.
The grant from the Arizona Department of Commerce, given in conjunction with the Gov. Napolitano's cabinet meeting in Flagstaff earlier this month, will cover three-quarters of the cost for MSI to train 70 new employees over the next two years, leading to higher salaries and jobs creation. In addition, the grant will also reimburse MSI for up to half the cost of existing employee training. MSI will move to an expanded 20,000 square-foot facility at Pulliam airpark and make $75,000 in capital investment within the next year.
MSI develops automated processes for catheter and stent manufacturers, and works with such health industry leaders as Johnson & Johnson, Guidant, Medtronic, and Boston Scientific. BizAZ named MSI to its "hot growth company" list for 2003.
