Full Story:

Tucson-based Integrated Biomolecule Corporation (IBC) has acquired a substantial portion of the assets of PDI Analytical Laboratories, the analytical division of Large Scale Biology Corporation.

As part of the acquisition, IBC will gain two tandem mass spectrometers, a MALDI-TOF and a GC/MS system for biomarker discovery and advanced analytical characterization of both small and large molecules.

The instrumentation will enhance the capabilities of IBC's labs division, which has been conducting research and analytical testing of pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, and other products for more than 15 years.

IBC will also gain Earl L. White, previously the managing director of PDI Analytical and vice president of analytical sciences for Large Scale Biology. White will serve as IBC's vice president of analytical and pharmaceutical sciences.

"This acquisition is a continuance of our growth and expansion of our services. It enhances our tradition of partnering with biotech, pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies to develop and apply the latest advances using the most sophisticated techniques," said IBC President Robert S. Green.
