Full Story:
Following 10 years of effort and a rigorous accreditation process, the Department of Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine has successfully established a residency training program in neurosurgery.
The six-year Residency Program in Neurological Surgery will accept its first student on July 1, 2004, and will continue to accept one student per year thereafter.
The program was approved by a residency review committee from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), effective June 27. It is the fifth ACGME-accredited residency program in the UA Department of Surgery, and the twenty-second such program in the UA College of Medicine.
